Hi Have a Zanussi FJS1425w on which the display disappears part way through wash (not been out yet so going from customer’s description). If she opens and closes the door the machine will resume. On the last wash, it beeped to say it had finished but it hadn’t performed a final spin. Is it a likely board fault? Cheers, Kez

Hi Kez it is worth taking the wiring connector off which connects the display module to the main one, squeeze the connector plugs to make the pins fit tighter on the board and then put it back on. That normally does it otherwise its the main module 🙂

could quite easily be the out of balance control, but ull find it hard to check that unless customer tells you they had 2-3 small things in it…

if thats definitely not the case (i.e full load) empty it & put onto a spin and see if it gets up to speed…

any sound of crackling/electrical buzzing stop immediately as its failry feasible ull need to check your carbons as its prolly arcing from there.

this *should*have the same motor as all the models ive been out to this last fortnight. http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=48505&highlight=
if so, itll quite possible be a carbon hungry motor :s so check brushes before you blame the pcb… 5.5mm deep socket would be useful for that btw

if theres plenty of carbon on BOTH, enter diagnostics… if the display stays up long enough…
