flashing 2&3 lights on indesit di620

I have an indesit di620 and it has started playing up after 3 1/2 years.
whenever i try putting it on any of the 1-4 cycles it tries to start the cycle then it just beeps and the lights on 2&3 keep flashing. does anyone know what type of fault this is and what the problem could be. i was thinking it could be the pcb behind the panel under the cycle leds, so if anyone can suggest anything it would be a great help.

That is so tempting but I have done the trebuchet line several times already. :rolls: 😆

2+3 is supposed to signify a fill time out. If the water inlet is OK then it may be a faulty heating element. If the heater is down to earth it can give spurious error messages.

Plug out and multimeter or megger time.
