flashing lights

new to this forum and hoping to get some insight as to what is up with my Candy dryer.
I have a Candy GCC581B which I bought here in France. I have noticed during the last few weeks its taking longer to dry things and now I put it on and after about 5 minutes all the lights on the front start flashing all at once. If I turn them off leave for 5 minutes and then put the dryer back on it goes again for about 5 mins and the lights all come on again flashing. I have emptied the water tank (as I do regularly) cleaned out the long metal filter but still the lights flash.
Any ideas welcome, would it be easy to fix by myself, any videos known about on You Tube and possibly what part number am I looking for.

I would start by checking the heating element this is usually the problem but will need to be confirmed by checking for continuity on the ntc and thermostat
