Flashing temperature light

I have just noticed that the temperature indicator on my Samsung RS21DCSV is flashing on the freezer side.
It appears to be defrosting but I’m not sure if my son left the door open a little last night.
When this has happened before the light didn’t flash.
What does it mean?

Hi

If your son has left the door open then yes this will caus ethe temp to flash,the only real way to reset this is to defrost by leaving switched off for 24 hours with both doors open then restart appliance.

He is home now and swears he didn’t leave the door open.
The food has not fully defrosted so could it be anything else?

Hi It could be one of several things,press and hold the top right/left buttons in together for 20 seconds then tell me what the display says

The flashing has stopped now and all seems to be well.
