We used a single dishwasher tablet, as normal; no laundry or hand wash detergent, rinse aid etc.

There was nothing unusual about the food soils within that could have caused it.

The low salt light wasn’t flashing.

Afterward, we put it on a short rinse cycle and it appears to be fine.

Any ideas what could have caused it?

Is that much foam quite normal when it’s inside the machine whilst functioning normally? Or is that an abnormal amount in the first place?

I’d say, somehow, there was normal washing up liquid or something in that. It’s the only way it can happen as dishwasher detergent is low foam.

Problem solved; I’ve now been told there was some washing up liquid on some of the heavier-soiled items in hope it would help the dishwasher break it down.

Strange that it came out of the machine mid-wash though, isn’t it?

    Thank you, kwatt.
