Really depends where it is.

Sump hose off or heater out?

rattling around in between inner and outer drum,nasty sounding and scrapping on the outer drum,locking up if rotated in anti clock wise direction.hth 8)

There was a whole thread on this some years ago. Each engineer has his preferred method.
From the previous thread I learned that it’s best to poke something flexible (e.g. green plastic coated garden wire) down into the tub gap. Then rotate drum and wire together until item is carried up and drops out under the influence of gravity. Will probably take several attempts. Don’t give up!

Last one I had I had to take the whole drum out!, could not get object (a key) through seal or element ect.
Turned out it was stuck behind cross piece.

Customer had to pay for a tub job though.

guys took off boot and gently levered drum,objects now removed,now any tips how to get the damn boot back on?trying to get the spring back on seems like you need to be an octopus 😡

Oh dear, here we go again! There was a thread on this some years ago…..hang on a minute…..yes… do a search using the word, “AAAAaaarrrrrrggghhh!!!!”
