F&P 601 Clothes washer errors with 101011 (Error 43)

Here’s what happens when I try and kick off a wash cycle:

* Water injects
* Drum turns slowly
* Drum jumps
* Powers off all of a sudden
* Turn it back on and re-start the wash cycle
* Drum spins and jumps
* Washer continuously injects water and pumps it out every two seconds

Note that I have repaired the electronics in the main control board a few years ago and replaced the water valves last year, but anything else and I don’t know where to look so pls be very informative if you want me to check sensors and stuff- thanks.

43 – out of balance switch fault. Gets wet, corroded and horrible. Remove top deck for access.

Thanks for that. What’s the “top-deck”? Is that where the control board is at the top-back or the case top around the drum?

The whole top of the machine will lift off – remove two screws at the back.

Thanks Penguin45. Removed the user IO front panel and control board to expose the switch. Found the switch Open Circuit so I flushed it with CRC 5.56 until it was soaking. Switch now works as new and the missus can get a full spin out of it.

While we have the covers off, what’s the blue “wire” within the clear tube which comes up from the dark depths? Goes into some sort of sensor on the control board. Might be a moisture sensor?

Air pressure tube to level switch. Wire is a stiffener to prevent it getting nipped or trapped.
