F&P Dual Drawer – Top drawer takes forever to finish cycle

I have a Fisher and Paykel dual drawer dishwasher. The bottom drawer works fine and completes the full cycle in the correct time. The top drawer has recently started to take many extra hours to complete the same cycle as the bottom drawer AND there is a white residue on the dishes, especially noticeable on pan surfaces. Has anyone got any idea why this is happening ?

Could be a problem with heater on it’s way out or draining issue caused by a blockage or faulty rotor. Try swapping the rotors to check if this cures the issue first then look towards a heating problem.
