    Hello,
My machine has stopped in the middle of a cycle and won’t go anymore. It might be a blown fuse, but I don’t know where the fuse is.
There is no response from the machine at all when plugged in. 🙁

There is a circuit protection fuse on the computer board. A picture may be found in the link on this thread:

However – you will have to find out why it failed………

    Thanks for the reply Penguin45,
I have checked out the computer board, but cannot locate a removable fuse like the one in the picture you gave me.
I am an electronics ignoramus, but there are two red components soldered into the computer board that have ‘fuse’ written beside them. The component itself says “T 2A 250V, TR5”. Are these fuses? If so, how do I check if they are blown or not?
To give you some more background, I have been tinkering with the machine to fix a blocked pump. In the process I disrupted the plug that supplies power to the pump (underneath the machine). I plugged it back in and it worked fine for about a week until this happened.
    Any more thoughts?

You wont fine a fuse on this Baby
Pump is part of power circuit
    Check pump (Should read 33ohm)
Pump has a thermal fuse if overheats it will cut power supply to PCB
If pump has gone out on overload it it should reset after 15-20Mins
    and restore power
If Not Its Either shagged pump Or Motor Controller
If it is motor controller suggest checking water valves as Well (Should Read 64 Ohm) valves have a tendency to take out Motor Controller when they fail
    especially the hot one

    Thanks Bigsmokepiker,
I checked the resistance on the pump and valves. They are okay. The machine didn’t reset itself, but I found an open fuse on the motor controller board. I closed the fuse with a fine wire. When I turned the machine on, the other fuse blew (in a big way), and one of the other components appears to be gone (a resister or capacitor – not sure). Anyway, it seems I need a new motor controller, but can I be sure that will fix the problem? How do I know what caused the fuse to go in the first place?

    Re: F&P GW709 no power

    Exactly
Check water coils for signs of cracks in casing
Check for any shorts in wiring
Particularly check lid switch harness as they can be pinched & short to cabinet
Check underneath for signs of water leaks
If All seems Ok Then it can be a matter of controller itself

If in doubt i make a point of replacing Hot Valve Assy ($29AUD) When replacing Motor Controller on this series(09)
