    Hi,
Our Fisher and Paykel GW711 has an error code (left to right) of 00111000 – which I think is 56?. Can you please tell me what problem this is referring to.
When I start the cycle the tub does not turn and the machine doesn’t progress thought the wash.
    Thanks!

There’s a few possibilities with this one.

    The two easy ones are:
Syphoning – drain hose stuffed too far down the outlet pipe. The water runs in, the water runs out…….. Never fills – fault.

Overloading – big load may not allow the drum to float off the clutch. This is too much for the motor to drive. With the machine empty, check whether or not you can lift the inner drum and rotate it.

    The others………

Water level control system not working properly. Air hose may be kinked, nipped, holed or trapped.

Rotor position sensor may not be working. It suffers from corrosion, water damage, chaffed wiring, or can just fail.

A few things to work through, I’m afraid.

    Regards,

Thanks for such a quick reply! I think it sounds like the rotor position sensor may be the problem, as the water filling, emptying and levels are working well and it still won’t work when there is no load in the machine.

Would you be able to tell me where we can find that sensor in the machine?

    Thanks

Rotor postion sensor located with motor underneath washer bowl

Your problem can however be related to Motor controller(Main PCB)
