Hey guys, I’m mel from australia, nice to meet ya =)
Somebody on another forum recommended I try asking here..
I have a Fisher and Paykel “intuitive eco” washing machine model IW810
a while back, it started leaking a small amount of water during each load. Still worked fine, we weren’t too worried about it since it lives outside… so left it for a couple of months before finally taking it in to be repaired (was still working fine).
The repair guy said when we dropped it off that he knew what the problem would be and it wouldn’t cost much to fix.. went to pick it up and he said the water leaking had rusted some wires and he had to replace some parts… so it costed $250 all up. (our stupid fault for not taking it in sooner, doh!)
anyway we brought it home and have done probably 10-15 loads in it, started a load yesterday and it didn’t finish, and now it keeps saying “error 105 I need service”, (sometimes error 104 instead), won’t do anything except beep and display that message. Still has a bit of water in it, I don’t know how to drain it :
I’ve googled around and the only thing I can find for that error message is something to do with a communications error between the Display module and the motor controller..
I will give the repair guy a ring in the morning… but does anyone know much about these things? is it worth fixing? Is it likely that this problem has something to do with the previous problem?
If I have to spend much more $$ on it I might as well just buy a new one
thank you very much =)
