I was getting this error code with each attempt at using the machine for a few days. According to my research this code indicates that the pump is drawing too much current and that the fault most likely lies with either the pump itself or it is secondary to a failing motor control module. So I replaced the pump and the machine worked fine for a couple of days. However, yesterday the error code was again generated on the first wash of the day, after turning the machine off for a bit and restarting it it worked fine for the rest of the day. Then starting it again this morning the code came up again. Since replacing the pump the error has occurred at the first rinse cycle.

Other relevant information may be that this machine has a long history (like many of this type I believe) with out of balance switch problems. So at the same time as replacing the pump I replaced the micro switch with a new sealed OOB switch that was compatible with this model.

So while I know that the manual states that this code is likely due to a faulty control module, it seems strange that at the moment it only generates the error when the machine has been sitting unused for a long period of time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I do not wish to replace more components only to find out that they are not the issue. Also I have already replaced the original control board with a reconditioned one approx 1.5 years ago. Thanks again for any help you may be able to provide!

Just to finish of this thread..

After another week or so of use with intermittent error code 62 the machine started to produce error codes related to the control module (105 and 107 if i recall correctly).

So I replaced the motor control board and all is working ok… at least for now.
