When my 601 faulted when starting a spin (continuous beeping) it had the fault code 10000. When I entered diagnostic mode (thanx for that post) with all the spin leds off it reported the same code, when I turned on the slow and hold leds the code was 10001000.

It has a problem with anything to do with turning the motor. During fill it doesn’t turn, but if I give the bowl a flick it turns but sounds like a phase is missing. I checked the H bridge fets with my multimeter and they all look OK. I also checked the resonse of the hall effect sensors to see that their outputs toogle when I manually turn the motor and they do.

    Any help greatly appreciated, thanx.

    Hi TT,
You are correct, the computer is detecting that the motor has stalled.

Causes are: most likely wiring problems around the base of the drum – harness, connectors, chafing, breakages. Rotor Position sensor is always a good candidate – it suffers from corrosion, it can get wet and it can get physically damaged. If everything checks out, you may be looking at a fault on the motor controller board.

The drum itself should be completely free, if turned by hand – no dragging or binding.

HTH, power off if poking about inside, of course.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.
