F&P Smart Drive 085 error code 00101011 (43)

I am getting 00101011 (43) error code part way through a cycle. I couldn’t find anything on this code anywhere. Can anyone help.

I replaced the ‘balance control’ unit as the machine was stop/starting (and the unit was corroded), but has made no difference.

43 is the out of balance switch fault……

Given that you have replaced it (and the loom?), it’s unlikely to be the switch itself at fault. You had best check the connection at the PCB end though. Also check that the tub bias spring is in place, otherwise the tub can activate the switch on a nuisance basis. Make sure that the suspension works smoothly and evenly – no snagging or binding.

Worst case scenario is the PCB itself.
