F&P Smartdrive 015 won’t fill/spin

On pressing start it attempts to fill for about a second, then shuts off the value. It repeats this a few times before giving up.

The fault code displayed using the method described in previous posts is

00101011

Any help would be appreciated.

Out of balance switch faulty/out of circuit – check function and wiring. Can possibly be motor board, but unlikely.

power off if investigating.

Great! Now where is the switch located and what steps should I follow to test the switch, or will it most likely just need replacing?

Ah.. Right – multi meter for continuity testing – power off – it’s the switch on the top end of the hanging rod in the drum.

Seriously, if you dont know how to do this safely, do get some pro help. I understand that the switch comes as a kit and is fairly cheap. P/no. is 425373.
