F&P SmartDrive 058 Error.

Hi, I have a SmartDrive 058.

It will fill correctly and then start to wash. But when it is washing, it has trouble turning one way, it will try to go left, but when it trys to turn right it just clicks a bit then goes left again, sometimes after a lot of jerking it will go right. Then it I advance past wash it drains and spins OK.

Code is 10001000 (1= on) when Hold+Slow light.

Can anyone advise on action to take?

I take it “lucky” isn’t your middle name? 😀

Right – basically this is the computer detecting that the motor is stalled. Back where we were really – wiring problems, rotor position sensor, star point etc down by the motor.

Drum bearing failing can jam the drums motion and cause these symptons.

Finally, we come back to the motor control board…….
