ParticipantHi All.
Hoping someone can please help with this?
GW508 stopped when a particularly heavy load became unbalanced.
Replaced the Fuse which had blown.
Now, when I plug in & switch on mains, the Pump runs continuously, and can’t fill with water (in one end & out the other!!)
Also, the Cold water is now just a trickle, but the Hot is normal.
I can load handwashed clothes, and use the Spin cycle, when the Alarm sounds when at the end. And all the while the Pump is still running.
The Code I get is 00100100.
If someone could please make some suggestions, that would be much appreciated.
Many thanks.

ParticipantF&P Smartdrive GW508 – Pump always on – Correction
I have a correction to the Code I supplied in my original message.
I had not used the “..advance once & spin speed up…until Hold & Slow etc…”
When I now do that, the lights, from left to right show 00001101
If I have figured your binary codes out correctly, that makes an error code 13?If I read them from right to left, I get 10110000 which makes an error code of 176??
I wonder if it relates to the OOB (Out Of Balance) Switch, as the washer was overloaded & unbalanced when the fault first arose?
Thanks in anticipation.

13 is that the display board has detected the pump running continuously. It’s switched by the motor control board. Be advised that there is a permanent live feed to the pump as long as the machine is plugged in, so be careful when circuit testing.

Many thanks for that Penguin.
Is the Motor Control Board something I can replace, and if so, can you please suggest where I could obtain one?
Where do I locate the Motor Control Board please, and what tests do I conduct to see if it needs replacing? Sorry, new at this.
Thanks again.
Cheers

Hi Simon.
The motor board is the lower one of the two in the fascia panel. To perform continuity testing you will need a multimeter and the know-how to use it. If you are not sure, please get pro help – the computer boards are expensive and a mistake would be unfortunate…….Regards,
