ParticipantHi there! Thanks for taking the time to view my posting. I own a Fisher & Paykel Smartdrive 701 (GW). It is currently not operational. I have aaccessed diagnostics and recovered the following results;
Data is read from LEFT to RIGHT. Eg first number = long wash & last number = spin.
[SLOW & HOLD]
10000100Note, this may be the error detected from the last time i ran the machine.
Below error codes may not be relevent.
[OTHER ERROR CODES]
00001000
0001000000101000 – The 3rd digit turns off when lid closed switch is pushed & the 4th digit turns on when the un-balanced switch is pushed.
I have tested the pumps via a external power-source and via the diagnostics and they are fully operational. Also, i am unsure of the condition of the spin motor as i cannot get it to operate :rolls: due to the system seems to think water is inside – i have pumped water in and drained it from the barrel via the washing maching pump. Hope this is not too confusing. Any help will be appreciated.

Error code is 00100001 = 33, which is a water valve fault. Can be faulty wiring and connectors. Possible solenoid coil failure (should read 15 ohms). If all OK, it will be a fault in the display module.

Regards,
Penguin45.Sorry, but what do you mean by display module? The machine has a main-board and a control panel with Leds? The problem is i cannot get to do a normal cycle. It always has problems when it starts to fill. I did a multimeter test and the power/current is fluxuating. The pumps work in diagnostics and from a external power source.

What has the pump got to do with the inlet valves? The touch panel/ control board is the Display Module.

Sorry about confusion. Drainage pump and inlet valves are fine. Machine has problems providing a “stable” voltage to the inlet valves when operating machine normally. But when you goto diagnostics, both inlet valves are fine. So, why won’t the machine operate normally?

Could be being thrown out by the usual lid switch and out of balance switch wiring problems – both suffer from dodgy/wet wiring and corrosion. Operating the valves from diagnostics by-passes the switches.

Thanks for your help “Penguin45”. The out of balance switch and lid open switch are fine. The inlet valves are starting then stopping – maybe I wil have to get a new main-board?

Well, you’ve got as much as I know. Bigsmokepiker will hopefully pick up on this and add some extra input; he’s far more experienced.

OK From The start
Your Complaint I Gather is That the Machine Stops & Starts On Fill ?If This is the case Check OOB Balance Micro Switch (Is there any corrision on terminals?)
If Switch is Dicky the machine Thinks its OOB(Out of balance) & Will Stop Filling or Spinning
Check Bracket that houses Micro switch (Tabs Broken?)
Check under Machine Can You See any Signs of Leaking Water Etc
(Water can leak from main seal onto Rotor postion Sensor & Corrode Connections)
Run Diagnostics Again & List Fault That comes Up (if Possible)May 28, 2007 at 7:51 am #215038ShaunOverton

Thanks for joining “bigsmokerpiker”. Have checked for leaking, none that I can see. The results from my testing is included in the first post. The OOB switch seems to be working but I will test anyway to be sure.

Hi there. Tested OOB switch – fine. Now I can’t get the drainage pump to work.

Check pump for blockages
Also Check to see if Pump is Getting HotMay 30, 2007 at 10:37 am #215041ShaunOverton

Also Check to see if Pump is Getting HotDrainage pump will no longer start. May have something to do with the sensor that detects water.
