I wonder what you think of giving out information such as wiring diagrams to members who rarely post, indeed they only seem to use the forum as a last resort without any input at all.

This is a case in point.

Do we help them in the hope that they may eventually ‘come on board’ or should we be more selective.

Ah, that old chestnut. AKA: chicken and egg puzzle.

There’s no easy answer in all honesty Jim. My own feeling is that the more that we encourage as many people as possible to use the site, for whatever reason, then in the end we win. I very much doubt that anyone now jumps into the forums, posts a questions and then scarpers. I’d strongly suspect that they do read a lot.

However as with any mailing list and/or any forum/newsgroups there’s almost always a universal 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} that take part and the rest simply watch.

This I think is an individuals decision. We all help? to different degrees and to a differing level.

I don’t let the posters record stand in my way, rather, I reply based on my ability to reply accurately and because I choose to.

Emotions…don’t you just love em! 😉
