    Hi,

We are in the process of remodeling the kitchen and would like opinions on freestanding ranges, please. We are considering either a Rangemaster (Elan 90cm duel fuel), or a Baumatic (Royal Chiantishire duel fuel).

I admit that we know very little about Baumatic in general – what is your opinions of their build quality & reliability? I seem to think that the Baumatic is a UK re-badge of something called a Fratelli Onofri from the continent – they look identical except for the badge, and share the Royal Chiantishire model name – any ideas/thoughts on this?

    Thanks so much!

My advice is to stick with the Rangemaster, much better and it isn’t the same thing by a fair ways. 😉

    Hi

If you can stretch your budget I would recomend the Mercury Range of cookers.Far better quality and warranty.

The difference in price Mercury would beat hands down on quality and back up.

    Thanks, everyone.
Sadly, my budget just won’t stretch to a Mercury/Falcon, etc.
We’d pretty much decided on the Rangemaster, but then saw the Baumatic and figured it was worth looking into – then I found this board here and thought I’d run it by the pro’s 😀

    Thanks for the advice!

    Re: freestanding range recommendations

Has anyone heard of/know about Nardi appliances? I see they do a range with a decent warranty and also a retro fridge, but I’ve not seen any “in the flesh” so I can’t tell what the quality is like…prices are very cheap, and I know it’s a “get what you pay for” kinda thing but I’m just wondering if anyone can comment?

    Thanks.
