ParticipantI have a a frost free fridge freezer integrated in my kitchen model number is APM 6855. Fridge is approximately 3 years old.
at the weekend temperature alarm for freezer actuated indicating temperature greater than -11 switched it of for a couple of hours then turned it back on gave it a boost using the super function. Freezer then built up the temperature and held it at -20 until this afternoon when alarm re actuated. I again switched off for approx 10 mins then turned back on and it appears to be holding the temperature at -20 for how long is anyones guess.
Not sure what the problem could be, my thinking is a faulty sensor or something along these lines.
I would be grateful if anyone could give me an indication to what the problem may be.
thanks for your help

Difficult to say.
On that model though the first suspect is usually the control board as that’s a common point of failure. The thermistors are very rarely replaced on those machines so I’d doubt it was those.
There are of course other possibilities but the PCB would be my first port of call on that one.

Try this .. Might save you some grief. Turn temperature knob to reset. Turn appliance off / unplug it. Remove all contents, having contacted a friend / friends willing to store contents for you in their freezer(s) .. Chances are the freezer is defrosting because it thinks you have not closed the door. .. It may simply be the seal has become squashed / compacted .. Allow time to defrost the freezer. Use a hair dryer on low to medium setting (you do not want to melt plastic) running this around the door seal to allow it to puff back up again. You may need to pass the hair dryer around the seal several times (but don’t overcook it). Now set the temperature gauge back to its normal setting. Reconnect / switch freezer back on. Allow min 3 hours. Then check freezer is doing its job, by placing a half filled container of water on middle shelf and wait. Hopefully you will find it is freezing as it should and you then have ice. Hopefully the alarm is also no longer going off. I the alarm persists in going off you will need to try something else.
