I don’t know if I’ve spotted an issue with my upright freezer. The temperature control is marked through a range of 270 degrees but I only need to move the control less than 10 degrees from off to reach temperature. While this hasn’t been an issue, the freezer has recently become too cold and its extremely difficult to adjust within such a small range. Is this a classic symptom that something has failed ?

    Thanks for any kind assistance.

Could be an issue with the thermostat but, it’s a Currys exclusive model so not many, if any other than they will have access to spares and technical information.

    Dear K,

Thanks for this. Rather than specific behavior for this model, I thought this might be a classic symptom displayed by a freezer with a particular issue, such as thermostat failure for instance. Is this the type of thing you would expect to happen if the thermostat is failing ?

    Thanks & best regards

Yup, sounds like a classic thermostat problem.
