I am going to order a new seal for my Hygena fridge/freezer as the seal has broken at the bottom of the freezer door.- to install, is it something I can do easily myself? (406014800 part#)
Secondly, if the seal is moulded to the door, should I buy a completely new door instead- is this possible?
Hygena APM6222 or APP6403 Freezer Door Seal has broken
sorry, please refer to my earlier post with regards to this problem. if I order the new spare seal, which I understand fits either of these models, can I replace this myself?. Also if the seal is moulded and cannot be replaced what do I do?
APM6222 is a foamed door, complete. Part No. 712359000.
The APP6403 is a totally different machine and has two possible doors, again both complete and with foamed door seals. The doors differ on frames or something.
You really must have the correct model from the actual rating plate I’m afraid and possibly the serial number as well. 😉
Thanks for the reply K.
It’s my tenant that is having the problem and the only number he can find on the machine is 464245470 on the inside freezer door. It also looks like the rubber seal is stuck on and has just bowed in at the bottom causing it to lose suction. So will I have to replace the whole door?- is there any other simple way of fixing this problem….
Yes, it is very likely that the seal is supplied as a complete door only as many are these days. I would need the correct model number to advise further though.
