Built under integrated Freezer supplied and badged by Magnet. model uf 727number. The freezer requires a stat. The original is a Ranco K56-L1835. This stat has extra contact, marked 8, which is used as the main OFF. It has a 1.2m capillary length and screw thread fixing. We are aware we could use the similar k54 but must use the original k56. I know Neff, Bosch and Whirlpool use these stats but I can’t find a part number. can anyone supply or advise?

    Kevin.

The original stat is about £50. I fitted a vs5 last week to one of these joined the 8 terminal to the supply for the fast freeze and coiled the excess capillary at the back of machine. Ihave spoken to customer since who said the freezer is working fine.

An update. The freezer is Badged under Magnet but made by Bauknect or Whirlpool. The model is UF 727 with a serial number TR902000343. there is no 85 number available.
The part number via ASD is 4819 2712 8633. Its out of stock but could be in in 5 days.
Like a stated earlier I must have the correct stat as this machine’s plug and socket is directly behind this fully fitted freezer. customer needs to be able to turn it off while defrosting.
Ranco don’t do a Varifix equivelent, “I’ve rang them”, and the Danfoss has terminal 8 on its back making it too bulky for the stat housing.
Surely someone out there has this Ranco K56 stat under an Appliance care, AEG or some other part number.
