I have a Liebherr T1514 20C under-worktop fridge with a little freezer compartment at the top. During the recent cold snap the frozen food thawed. I was not aware of the fridge compartment failing but now that section has mould for the first time ever so I suspect it might have failed as well. After some googling I rigged up a 40W light bulb at low level behind the fridge and hey-presto! The freezer started working again. I am an electrician so I have had a poke around the back and inside but can’t spot anything looking like a sensor. Can anyone advise me as to what might be faulty and whether I can fix it myself? Thanks.
This is something that will happen in low room ambient temperatures, read your unit manual, it explains use of the cool plus switch in these conditions.
