Like others it would seem that my frost free fridge freezer is out of control.
It is a built in Howdens Lamona HJA6855ET which I believe is made by Beko.
It worked perfectly for 2 years and one month.
Take a guess on the guarantee period..
I have checked out the thermostat control panel, it’s OK, changed the control board for a new one.
Result – still freezes my milk.
For the past year I have had it on a timer. One hour on two hours off.
Now free standing out of its housing. Plenty plenty of ventilation…
It seems to be OK but it is hardly good practice is it?
Particularly since one of my timers stuck on and the milk froze again.
I am about to chuck the unit out and replace it. But with what?
Another Beko unit that will fail again in two years and a month?
I am thinking the problem could be the temperature sender unit. But where is it?
Buried in the insulation somewhere no doubt.
Does anyone know?
And if all else fails what do I replace the complete unit with?
What brand would be a direct replacement for this built in unit?
