ParticipantFinally found the only frost-free fridge-freezers that would fit my very tight kitchen space – one Bush, one Swan. They look exactly alike and their specifications, far as I can see, are identical. Aside from the price, is there any difference between buying either one; e.g., is either brand better or worse for aftersales service?

Swan: http://www.very.co.uk/swan-sr9070w-48cm … 339744.prdThanks very much…

Both have virtually no aftersales service at all.

Unless there is absolutely no other option available to you it’s very hard to recommend buying either.
Probably both from the same Chinese factory too. :rolls:

Cripes. Thanks K. If anyone knows of any other <48cm-wide frost-free fridge-freezers, I am all ears, otherwise I will have zero choice but to go for one or the other…

Sadly there are not any others at 48cm wide. So it looks like you are caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Hello again. There is a small, but not totally nonexistent, possibility that I may be able to go up to 50cm wide. In which case, I would be able to add Lec, and maybe Zanussi, into the brand mix. Are either one of these two better? It’s got to be frost free, with a reasonably-sized freezer (ie not tiny on top of the fridge compartment), but otherwise I’m open to recommendations or comments? Thank you…
