    Hi All,

    Need some advice…

i have a problem. I have 2 pedigree cats… one of them seems to be clever enough to manage to open the current fridge and freezer (they are both larder style fridge is whirlpool and freez zanusi). Now i inherited these as my first set for my pad while at uni so they are quite old and ive finished uni over 3 yrs ago now but they are working in sterling condition.

but the cat can break into it. Ive tried all sorts! although they are larder style and so short ive put one on top of the other ect thinking that the freezer would be harder to break into. well he can still do it.

another prob is that they always try to get into the fridge whenever it opens… training would be an answer to this but i think im beyond that!

so im thinking about buying a replacement before he starts to cost me a fortune in destroyed food ect. especially as im often out of the house for long periods during the day.

I need a fridge freezer and have a gap which is is about 100cms or so wide so could go for an american style one. Which i dont think he could break into as the doors open out like a wardrobe most of the time. however this wont solve the prob of them climbing in. Ideally i want the fridge at the top with wardrobe style doors and a freezer section at the bottom.

The only one i have seen is at comet and is a haier one for 699…

    http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/prod … ku=408980#

    so:
    budget up to 700
brand – not fussed so long as its reliable / easy to repair/ replace parts ect
need fridge doors to open out like a wardrobe
with freezer section at the bottom.

    does anyone :
    A) have an opion on this FF?
    B) have a non – lethal solution to my cat related issues and the FF?
    C) anyone know of alternative brands or sites i should be looking at?

sorry for the ramble but the background is kind of relevant to the solution otherwise i would have bought any old upright and been done with it!

    much appreciated
    Adam

I think you should enter Haier in the search facililty and it should tell you all you need to know.

In case you are in any doubt, a picture paints a thousand words. 😉

    Hi

If the old appliances are working correctly then take a trip to mothercare and buy a set of childproof locks that’ll go onto the doors and you need to press them in a certain way to release them to open the doors.

Cost would be a couple of pounds rather than a few hundred..If the cats can still open then forget a new one they’ll learn to open that asd well.

other option is to feed feed the cats !!!
