Fridge freezer ice box leaking

I am working on a Hotpoint MSZ902DF(UK) fridge freezer with a leaking ice maker, suspected over filling with water. I need to turn on the inlet valve at will, rather than sit and wait for it filling on its timer. Is there an engineer test mode?

I don’t know the machine but, is the water pressure high as if memory serves me some just use a timed fill so, water pressure too high = too much water = leak.
