I have a weird problem with a Samsung American-style fridge freezer, model DSG5. When the freezer door is open the ice dispenser flap cycles open and closed repeatedly. When the door is closed it stops. I have removed the front panel and checked the solenoid, it seems fine. I have also removed the cover over the door hinge and had a look at the wires, all look fine, no sign of any broken/trapped ones. Is there anything else I can try? It’s only around 3 years old and is otherwise working fine. I guess it might need a new PCB, is there any way of checking this as it seems a gamble to order a new one if that isn’t the problem… Thanks for any advice!
