Fridge/freezer installation

Hello;

is it worth paying for installation of fridge/freezers?

Like the look of this INDESIT: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/household- … =price-asc

However looks like installation is extra and I wondered if that’s a prudent thing to pay for?

Any advice please?

Can you transport it upright? (Essential to ensure it works when you install it and switch on).

Will you be able to single-handedly get it from your large van into your house, through the threshold without chipping the paintwork or denting the cabinet?

Will you be able to shuffle it into its exact position without ripping a large chuck out of the flooring?

I will leave you to figure out the other details and finer points. 😀

Hi

Delivery will take it into your kitchen..Don’t pay for installation as it’s not work it. Make sure you leave it standing for a minimum of 12 hours before switching on.

Many thanks to you both. I’ll fork out for delivery as no way could I get it home and through the door safely and the advice on installation is most welcome.

So it is a complete no-no to transport an upright fridge, freezer or fridge freezer horizontally; it would not help to leave it standing upright for 24hrs before switching on, after being transported laid flat?
