I have an F&P E22B about 12 years old that has ceased cooling. The light is working, the fans are working and I suspect there is a problem with the compressor. The compressor is hot to the touch but is not making any of its usual noises of operation although it does make an occasional clicking sound. Is it more likely to be a simple relay/switching problem or total compressor failure?

The compressor has seized and now when it is trying to start it is cutting out on it’s overload. At twelve years old its not going to be viable to repair.

Depends on what a viable repair cost is classed at with a high cost premium product that really is a better quality than the new range.

New compressors fitted from about £180 upwards dependent on size.

What size ff is it ?
