    Hello
I have an Ariston fridge freezer. I turned it off for a few days while I was away and since I switched it back on (2 weeks now) it has not regained its coolness. THe freezer section is cold fridge temp and the fridge section is only slightly cool. It is 6 years old.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

sounds like either a compressor failure (likely) or a blockage unless the pipework has become damaged in some way. 🙁

    Thanks K.

If it is a compressor, are these easy to fit?

Also, there had been some slight ice build up on the back wall of the fridge compartment – could this be related?

    Thanks.

Re: Fridge Freezer not cooling properly

A compressor isn’t possible unless you happen to have a load of gassing and brazing (or Lokring) equipment to do it.

The ice ball can also be caused by the same, I’d give you a 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} chance that it’s the compressor. 😕

    K.
