    Hi, I have a Hotpoint ff7190ex and it freezes over and blocks the vents so the fridge gets warm. I have checked the defrost element and it’s about 200 ohms. The device connected to it has four wires, two yellow and two blue. I have yellow yellow short and blue blue short. Yellow to blue is open circuit. Any advice much appreciated.

    Hi, I have just come across your post, I have got the same problem with the same model fridge. My defrost elements is 173 ohms. The thermal fuse is same as you have described, with yellow and blue leads. Did you manage to sort it out?
