    Hello

Beko Fridge/freezer combo suddenly decided not to work properly. Electrics OK as appliance still works & light inside is on but very little cold being produced inside in both compartments & food going off quickly now. Tried replacing fuse in plug but no joy. Water outlet runs through OK too. Appliance keeps producing a single click noise every 10-30 mins as trying to reset a thermostat setting.

    any ideas much appreciated

Sounds like it’s tripping out on something but, without a model number it’s impossible to look at the layout of it and take a guess as to what it could be.

Is the clicking noise coming from the compressor at the back ?.

If it is then the compressor will be seized and not cheap to repair.

It sounds like it is coming from there but since i have basic knowledge i could be wrong. The fridge is only 14 months old & has been well looked after though in that time so no knocks or the like!!

It does sound like a compressor failure to be honest as that’s the classic fault report you’d get.

In that machine there’s a board, potentiometer, fan motor, compressor and a couple of heaters and NTCs really so, not that much to go wrong. The only “moving” parts are the compressor and a fan motor.

It’s possible that one of the sensors could be faulty and cutting the compressor out early.
