Just moved into a house, with white goods included, and am having problems with the fridge/freezer.

It is a Siemens Vario Electric KG31V04GB/06.

It is cooling and then warming up (to the point that things are defrosting).

Have read through this forum to discover others with the same problem,

Can someone please advise exactly which wires need to be shorted to resolve this issue?

There are four wires on the left side of the control panel (Grey, white, blue and black) there are three wires on the right side of the control panel (black, light brown, dark brown).

To short the wires can I simply cut them and join them together with a cable connector?

    Many thanks
    Andy

Probably best to get an expert in to do this for you, if you are unsure after reading the previous posts.

Given I stay in quite a remote area, I would prefer to resolve this myself rather than pay for several hours travel time for someone to cut and join wires. I am an engineer (albeit not a white goods one!). There would appear to be a variety of answers and wire colourings, hence why I listed the colours of wires in my fridge/freezer.

Would I be right in saying that I keep the black wire intact and join one of the two brown wires to it (which brown wire depending on which of the two sensors has failed?)

I agree with Boro, there is sufficient information in the previous posts for any person with reasonable competence to complete the repair or decide to use a whitegood engineer.
