ParticipantHaving read your interesting article on these appliances, shopped around and read many reviews, I have to confess I am still baffled!! I urgently need advice as my new kitchen is complete except for a fridge/freezer. 😕
I want a 60/40 frost free freestanding appliance, stainless steel or a nice “non-plasticy” silver, (to match other satin steel appliances), preferably fingerprint-proof. It needs to be approx 60cm wide (give or take 10cm) and about 180-200cm tall. It should be quiet in operation. The door should be able to hold two 2l drink/milk containers without cracking, and there should be plenty of room for fresh fruit and veg and meat, so at least 3 shelves. The freezer should preferably have robust drawers, not shelves. It should be reliable, but it needs to be good value for money as the rest of the kitchen has run over-budget! 😥
I have a general idea of which makes are suitable, but I find the shops don’t stock many models to actually see what they are like and many internet sites only show photos so you can’t actually tell the sizes or what the quality is like. Even the manufacturers’ own sites don’t seem to show many of the models they produce, so I would be eternally grateful if you could recommend actual models rather than just suggest manufacturers. :rolls:
Thank you, thank you, thank you in anticipation! 😀

Hi
We don`t even see the tip of the iceberg as independants we just don`t have the space or resources , the sheds hold a larger range, however not even they can show the lot :rolls: .
I would say your best course of action would be to look at a machine which fits your size spec from Liebherr, Miele, Hotpoint, Bosch ( Exxcell and Loggixx) , AEG and Siemens. Having done that start ticking off your wish list. However be warned somewhere along the line a compromise will be needed 😉
So taking all the above into consideration you could start by looking at these Bosch KGH34X63, KGH39A43 Miele KFN12923SD, KFN14827SDE, Hotpoint FF200DX, FFB6200AX, Siemens KG33NX43GB, KG34NA93GB. Happy hunting 🙂
