I am looking for recommendations as I am wanting to get a new fridge freezer as my current Beko ones are rubbish. I have been looking at American ones as we have a space 110cm wide. I don’t need water or ice but I do need lots of drawers for veg, meat and cheese. One of my big gripes about my current fridge is that when I open the veg drawers they catch on the door seal unless the door is open 180 degrees. As I have small kids this doesn’t always happen . Are there any brands where this wouldn’t be an issue? I want a good quality brand as I’m fed up of cheap ones.

    Hi

Stay well clear of the likes of Daewoo, LG and Samsung. Good quality machines take a look at Bosch, Neff and Siemens range.

If you want the best then it has to be Liebherr and Miele (made by Liebherr) 😉

Thanks Don. With the Liebherr and Miele can the veg drawers be opened without the doors being open 180 degrees? Sorry but I live in the middle of nowhere (rural Aberdeenshire) so I have no option but to buy online so I can’t get to see any in real life.

Are the Fisher and Paykel ones any good? I like the idea of the French style doors I have seen on the RF540ADX4 as the wider shelves would make it easier when I need to put a couple of whole ducks or rabbits in.

    Hi

Manufacturers websites should give that sort of info.

The Bosch KAD62V40 the main doors need to open to at least 160 degrees to allow the drawers to be fully accessible. Just click the little picture to the left of the appliance for the exact spec.
