Fridge ices up and soaks everything

Hi I have a BEKO GNEV021APW FRIDGE FREEZER and the back plate on the fridge freezes up (ices up) and water accumulates further down in the chiller compartment and the vegetable compartment soaking everything. It’s driving me mad so any help as to what might cause this would be much appreciated.

Clear the drain hole at the back, it should be explained in the handbook.

Thanks for your suggestion but I have read the handbook and there is no drain hole that looks like the handbook illustration. There is what appears to be a hole about half an inch diameter but it’s not a hole that goes anywhere. Its simply an indentation and it’s closed. It’s big enough to put your finger in but it doesn’t lead to anything.

Hope this makes sense.

If it’s a self defrosting wet wall fridge then there’s a drain hole.

No other possibility.
