fridge not cool

Hi i am on holiday in croatia staying with my wifes family and they have a gorenje kie25b integrated fridge freezer. I am told that the back of the fridge was covered in ice this morning, but now feels very warm in places and cool in others. I have very little knowledge of fridges but i would love to help these guys out as they are great people. I would have to go and buy some tools so an idea of what i would need would be great if its something i can tackle. Thanks for any help guys 🙂

Hi mate, check the switch on the thermostat housing. It could well be in the heater mode, which actually brings on a heater in the fridge compartment, to act as a fast freeze/low ambient device.
The switch should really be in the fan position, which enables the fridge evaporator fan once the door is closed.

Hi eldar thanks for getting back to me, the only thermostat i can see is inside the fridge and only has numbers on it, i have turned it down from 7 to 5 and will check it later 🙂
