    Hi,

I have an Indesit Larder fridge SIAA 12 (UK), this is a basic falling air fridge with auto defrost. The auto defrost works but the thermostat has no affect on the cooling and the fridge will keep cooling to freezing point, I have now replaced the thermostat and this has not fixed the problem. All I can think of is that there is some circuit in parallel with the thermostat which is bypassing it and providing the power to the compressor.
Does anyone here have experience with this or know what the primary cause to the fault is?

    Regards, John

the tech on these says they fitted both 3 term and 2 term thermostats. If its a 3 term stat check you have the black wire to terminal 4

well in that case the thermostat is not working

where did you get the stat from ?

how did you fit the sensor wire , did you cut it y/n

just check it stops by removing black wire, make it safe and plug in. compressor should not try to start. proving the stat has the ability to control the unit but is not doing it
