fridge not turning on after defrost

I defrosted my fridge freezer (hotpoint ffa70p), I now know its big no no but I used hairdryer to help melt the ice, now it does not turn on at all, the indicator lights or interior light do not turn on and motor does not start so seems power is being cut somewhere, would the hairdryer treatment done this? fuse and socket have both been checked and are working

youve probably blown the theral fuses by putting the hairdrier in the wrong place.engineer visit im afraid
