Fridge sharing wall with airing cupboard

I am designing a new kitchen.
Is it a bad idea to put a fridge (tall 600) in the corner sharing a wall with the hot water tank on the other side of the wall? Please see my picture where I’ve drawn the “airing cupboard” where the hot water tank is. I’ve got a closed system and the boiler is outside.

There will be about a 9 cm gap between fridge and wall. Is a 9 cm gap enough to allow for the fridge to open? I should think so looking just having had a look at the fridge in the house I’m in now.

The water tank will be lagged I assume? If so 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the heat will be retained within. On the Fridge side 9cm is more than enough for door opening and for ensuring an air flow around it.

You then have the wall in between which should keep the two zones separate temperature wise. If the tank wall did become warm you could always fit a reflector layer on the wall.

Thank you for replying don. It’s really good to know. I’ve been struggling with the kitchen design and this the best one I’ve come up with so far, so it’s good to know nothing is stopping me now!
