Have looked on the search but can anyone advise me .just fitted ranco vt9 to a hygena built in fridge, the stat i pulled out was k59 same as the vt9.The only reason i am asking is because i changed the stat 1 year ago and it’s in rented accomodation so the tenent would not wait for the genuine part, any ideas ❓

MFI recommend fitting vt9 thermostats to there fridges now not the manufactuers thermostat.

Due to drain gully freezing up with the vt9 slightly different cut in temp.

Have not checked to see if true or not.

Another option for you is to fit a Ranco VX0 this one is designed for use in larder fridges where the evaporator is behind the plastic liner (ie not visable) it has a higher cut in than the VT9 which allows the evaporator to fully defrost.
