Fridgedaire FRE196A Thermostat

I’m going out to a customer today with a Frigidaire Fridge freezer FRE196A with what sounds like a thermostat fault.
From looking at parts it looks like the usual Chinese made tat. The stats are out of stock everywhere, but does a VL9, VT9 fit. Does anybody know the wiring for them, from experience the Chinese stats aren’t labeled the same ie 4,6,3. I try not to get too involved with refrigeration these days but its an old customer.
