    Hi
Can anybody help I have a Whilpool fridge freeza model No ARC 7470/AL The only way I can keep it working is to turn down the inside control to switch it off (light goes off) then set the control to say mid scale the unit thenoperates for some time but the temprature is somewhat high 10 – 15C. I have tried holding the inner temp sensor to see if the fridge will come on (warming up the sensor) but nothing happens

    Hi,

Any number of things in all honesty from the description.

Thermostat/s or compressor would be the top two culprits from what you describe.

Thanks Kwatt I forgot to say that the temp will go down to 5C and stay for a time. The temp sensor is the resistance type and it does show resistance of about 40 Ohm at room temp.

I’ve got no technical info on it, Whirlpool don’t release it to non-agents I’m afraid.
