I have a Servis larder fridge model No: M7611-6W.

It is frosting up and items on the top shelves are getting ice covering them, even with thermostat set low, so could the thermostat be faulty.

The back inside wall of the fridge is covered in a layer of ice at the top only the bottom is ok :rolls:

The fault will be low on refrigerant or the compressor is not pumping correctly.

If it is a small larder fridge or an older fridge it will be cheaper to buy a new one.

    Re: frosty fridge help!

    thanks for reply,
The fridge as six shelves + 2 storage draws at the bottom and stands a 156 Centimetre tall with a total gross value 1.320 would it I wonder be anything to do with ventilation has there is a vent grill at the bottom just below the door it also has two 55cm plastic posts at the back one on each side these are screwed in upon installation so as to set it back of a wall as air may flow around the back of the fridge air circulation seems paramount in operating of the fridge. But honestly these are my last comments on this fridge as I have taken your sound advice on board and a new fridge will be on my shopping list. if you have any more advice on the above info I have stated above be pleased to ear from you. 🙂 Thanks again
