Participantas we all know fuel prices at the pumps have risen during the last week.. i wonder if we could have a price survey per litre from all points.. here in north wales/ chester. at shell garages unleaded is 99.9p/litre and diesel is either 103.9 or 107.9p/litre.. i quote shell prices because i’ve got a points card…should i move to tesco?

I am putting my repair charge up by £2 per call from Monday to compensate for the fuel rise as there is no sign of it ever coming back down.
Just filled up my 2 vans today and it cost me £112

Well, one transport company has already imposed a fuel surcharge to us. 🙁
Diesel here is just as expensive and we may be forced to raise the rates, including contract rates, to compensate as most of the rates were set when diesel was ~80p per litre. Dunno about anyone else but we can’t stand the increase on costs.

I have just increased my prices by £3.00 last week due to the fact that my costs have increased by £2.00 per call (Inc Fuel) since I last did a review in April 07

Have been paying more than a £1 per litre for at least the last year. Currently prices for diesel is between £1.13 and £1.15 per litre. Trading the van in for a tractor may be better idea 💡 at least the red stuff is only 43p per litre.

Yeap, Our labour rates went up today, all companies will increase prices due to the excessive fuel costs. The goverment should reduce the amount of tax it collects to assist business and the population.
Still this lot seem intent on overheating the economy one way or the other but still take their payrises which as we all know bear no comparison on wages as a whole.
Perhaps we are a captive audience.

i dont know about everyone else but i am really struggleing to fill the van these days.
a lot of my calls are far apart ie 20 miles between but i have to do these just to survive.
lets put it this way if they go up any more i will have to raise prices meaning i will no longer be competitive especially against the no call out brigade.
the way things are going in this country i personally think we will all be f@cked in the long run.
I knew there was a reason i dont vote and never will as they are all blood suckers.
whats poeples thoughts about the new london charge due to come into force in feb my van certainly does not qualify so i will no longer be going inside the m25 meaning a massive drop in profits thankyou ken!!!
anyway i hope i havent offended anyone with my rant i have now put my toys back in the pram again.rgds

I can`t stand the people who say they don`t vote because it will make no difference and then moan about who gets in and what they do. This is evident from the polls when they say only 46{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the voters turned up to vote. If the other 54{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} turned up and voted for what they wanted then the result could be different.
If you don`t vote then tuff sh*t!! You have no right to moan about who`s in and what they do.
See that, hit a nerve there, eh? 🙂 -
