ParticipantHi all, hope you’re all keeping well! Apologies that my first post is a buying request, but that’s what brought me here! Most of the buying advice in search engines these days feels disingenuous and purely there for the affiliate commission – so thought I’d find a enthusiast forum for help.
Currently kitting out a new kitchen, and really looking for all white goods. It’s been a time since I have worked around white goods and am firmly out of the loop on quality and where to buy. I suppose Miele / Neff / Bosch are still up there? Hotpoint / Zan mid-range?
I would like any recomendations for mid – high level, I think at heart I’m looking for value-for-money compared to quality. (everything integrated and 60cm unless stated):
- Gas Hob
- Oven (probably single)
- Dishwasher
- Washing Machine
- Condenser tumble dryer
- 70/30 Fridge Freezer
Would like to keep them all the same brand if possible.
Any help would be great (I’m currently reearching too, not just trying to have you do all the work)!
(For reference, the first quote for all the above in Neff (mostly) was £4.1k, would like to get that down a good chunk).

ModeratorTo get the overall price down look at Bosch as Neff prices are generally higher due to the standing the brand has in the marketplace and the fact that all they produce is integrated appliances .
Hotpoint will give better value for money but the product quality isn’t what it used to be which sadly is the same for all the others out there, Miele included.

ParticipantThanks for the reply don!
edit: scrap that last question… I’m going Bosch or Neff. The last question here is, as the prices are so similar what’s best?

ModeratorNeff have a few different bells and whistles to Bosch and the controls and are slightly different. No real difference in spec, the same engineer will turn up in the event of a breakdown and you have the same two year guarantee.
Bosch it is?

ParticipantI think I’m leaning towards Neff, I can’t really put together much difference in price between appliances. Thinking of:
Hob: Neff T26DS59N0
Oven: Neff B4ACF1AN0B
Dishwasher: Neff S513M60X1G
Washing Machine: Neff W543BX0GB
Fridge Freezer: Neff KI6863F30G
(Just researching the fridge freezer now)
Then just need to find a tumble dryer, doesn’t seem Neff do one, which could cause a whole rethink!I like the aesthetics of the Bosch Serie 8 oven/hob, but all the Bosch appliances seem similarly priced to the Neff.
edit: Probably similarly priced as they’re the same company! I forgot that.

ModeratorBosch and Neff are mostly the same appliances in different cases

ParticipantThanks for the feedback all, will probably price up a Bosch set too – see if there’s any savings to be had!

Moderatorthe only important thing in my opinion is some of the dishwashers have a plastic floor inside. they have had problems with these leaking so best make sure the model you choose is all stainless steel

ModeratorAny Bosch series 4 as these will have the full stainless steel interior.
