Had a customer order and book a call whilst she was backpacking in Australia…
Whilst she was there she remembered her Miele washer had a split door seal. So she went on Google, found me, e-mailed me to price up & then order seal. Went yesterday to fit it.
Pretty common for us to get landlords booking calls for tenants from Pakistan or India, due to the number of overseas tenants in Oxford. Charge card in advance, email receipt, jobs done. Australia is still quite a record though – fancy trekking through Oz and suddenly thinking, “You know what, I need to get my washing machine sorted!”. 😆
Note, she’s a Miele owner. How many Russell Hobbs buyers can afford to go trekking down under to escape the winter here? 🙂 It’s been that cold these last four months, the only thing I’ve been washing off my work clothes is washing powder 👿 .
Mike.
To be fair, around here there are several multi-million pound houses. Almost all have Zanussi Essential rubbish in them – often with a several £50k+ cars on the drive.
It tends to be the two-up, two-downs where I find and sell the Mieles – people who care about value for money rather than wanting something as cheap as possible.
